Engagements are one of our favourite things! We love hearing about them, talking about them and of course writing about them. As 2014 comes to a close, we want to have a look back and share with you some of the biggest celebrity engagements this year!
Benedict Cumberbatch & Sophie Hunter
This is one of our favourite and also one of the most recent. We love it because even though Mr. Cumberbatch is a worldwide celeb, his parents chose the traditional engagement announcement of putting it in the Forthcoming Weddings section of the paper. Love it! The future Mrs. Cumberbatch is a theater and opera director, they first met on the set of the film Burlesque Fairytales in 2009. What a cool couple, they look so sophisticated!

Mary-Kate Olsen and her French beau Olivier Sarkozy
This fashionista is one of our favourite style queens. Oliver is the brother of former French president and is seventeen years her senior! We must say this is not the kind of guy we thought she would end up with. But, they look super happy and love knows no boundaries, so GO Mary-Kate!

Courtney Cox and Johnny McDaid
We love these two! Johnny being a Northern Irish lad and Courtney, everybody’s favourite friend (or not!) We love that they met through the amazing Ed Sheeran as well, what a cool celeb filled wedding that will be. All the Friends gals seem to be finding their dream men as of recently, here’s looking at you Jennifer Aniston and her drop dead gorgeous fiance Justin Theroux.
