The Great Glen<\/h2>\n

The Great Glen shows a geological rift that halved the Scottish Highlands into the Grampian Mountains to the southeast and the Northwest Highlands to the northwest.<\/p>\n

Glaciers deepened the trench and the result is a long glen of wooded mountains and dark, mysterious lochs. Gorgeous castles and forts are to found everywhere adding to its gothic beauty. Don\u2019t forget to keep your cameras ready for the Loch Ness monster!<\/p>\n

Isle of Skye<\/h2>\n

The Isle of Skye is the largest island in the Inner Herbrides of Scotland. From the gorgeous waterfalls, farms and of course, a castle linked to the fairy world, the Isle of Skye symbolizes everything that is the Highlands. The landscape is gorgeous, romantic and even a little moody. But, there are also plenty of activities to see and do! From water sports, hiking and even pony rides, Isle of Skye can also be an amazing family holiday!<\/p>\n
