An historic Jacobean manor, Holdsworth House is hidden from view by three acres of beautiful walled gardens. You'll find it close to Halifax town centre in West Yorkshire and packed full of character with so many historic architectural features and period quirks.

The house dates from 1633 and architecturally it's a photographer’s dream whichever season you get married in. Inside there are 36 bedrooms for guests to stay over and an award-winning kitchen team ready to cook your wedding breakfast fresh, for maximum flavour and quality.

For small weddings you can hire The Ayrton Room or De Aldworth Room - originally both first floor bedrooms; The Beatles slept here in 1964. These rooms are great for up to 20 guests and you might get married in one and dine in the other. Alternatively the Hall, the Mullion Room (restaurant) or the Panel Room are beautiful for marriage ceremonies up to 20 guests.

The Stone Gazebo, beside the sunken Parterre garden, is a totally unique space for weddings in warmer months, for up to ten guests.

Up to 80 guests: The Abraham Brigg Room is a ground floor room that can host your wedding ceremony. You can get married in here and have your wedding breakfast in the Stuart Room.

Up to 120 guests: The Stuart Room is the largest suite. It has a private bar, cloakroom facilities, dance floor and adjoining Colonnade Courtyard. This is perfect for weddings up to 120 guests for a ceremony and reception meal, and up to 150 for your evening party.

Outdoor weddings are also possible for up to 120 guests May to September on the house lawns, or up to 60 guests in the quaint Colonnade Courtyard at Holdsworth House.
