Knowlton Court is a magnificent home with great charm and character currently privately owned.

Recorded in the Domesday book, Knowlton Court was the seat of Bishop Odo of Bayeux, brother of William the Conqueror. The current house is Elizabethan and the front façade is Queen Ann (1715).

The splendour of the Great Hall is the perfect setting for your marriage ceremony and allows seating for 100 guests.

Weddings at Knowlton can be based around an entire weekend with estate accommodation for you and your guests to enjoy.

Licensed for civil ceremonies, only 70 miles from London, Knowlton Court is the ideal weekend get away. We offer every wedding party the greatest possible level of privacy and freedom of choice.

The Great Hall - The splendour of the Great Hall with its chequered black and white marble floor, walls lined with French and Flemish tapestries and a striking carved stone fireplace, offers the perfect setting for your marriage ceremony and allows seating for one hundred guests.

The maximum number of guests is 82 for the wedding breakfast with an additional 70 evening guests.

The Dower House - This charming ancient house is let exclusively and can comfortably accommodate twenty-one.

This makes it the perfect venue for close family and friends during the exciting build up to the celebration of your wedding. A beautiful Grade II listed Elizabethan House set in its own garden amid woods and parkland of the Knowlton Court estate.

Fully modernised, while preserving its traditional country house manner, there are five timber reception rooms, including Drawing room, Library, Dining room and Entrance Hall.
